Chief minister Siddaramaiah and city development minister KJ George will launch the work on a major arterial road connecting Magadi Road and Mysuru Road, next month, in a series of big-ticket infrastructure projects the gover nment has planned to start in Bengaluru ahead of the Assembly elections.

The 10.75-km road will cost Rs 495 crore.

The proposed road will run parallel to NICE Road, and will be 150-foot wide. The BDA will also build 30-foot service roads on either side of the arterial road. The BDA has planned the project as a long boulevard from end-to-end.
