Brain drain is a serious problem in which there is a flow of highly qualified human resource in huge numbers from one country to another. It is quite a serious problem for our country too. Due to this, our country is losing some of the brightest minds to foreign countries. Also, due to this brain-drain, India loses nearly $2 billion a year.
Some steps to check this brain drain from INDIA are:-
✯ Firstly, stop reservation. Do you know why our elites go to foreign lands in search of jobs. It is because, they offer jobs to the "deserved" and not the "reserved" as it happens in our country. We should promote people on merit alone.
✯ People of our country sometimes get discouraged to work in the below par facilities and salary provided to them, so they migrate to other countries. The salaries should be given to highly qualified people on the basis of their qualifications and experience.
✯ We lack of a proper education system in India. The way of teaching and methods are quite outdated.There is a dearth of proper teaching faculty here. Due to which people think that once they migrate to other countries, they can provide their children with better education facilities.
✯ Lack of employment opportunities is another problem. We have so many graduates but very few are able to get jobs while the others either stay unemployed or go abroad searching for job opportunities.
We alone cannot do anything. Thankfully, the government of India has taken some right decisions in this direction. For example, a bond has to be signed by medical students going abroad for studies that they will eventually return to India after completing their studies.
I hope that the problem of Brain drain will eventually stop and our Elites can stay in our country happily without going to foreign lands.
