Answer:

These days due to growing materialism there is a shift in the values of youngsters. They pester their parents for various items like mobile phones, digital cameras, bike etc. for personal use even though there is no genuine need.

As soon as the technology makes development, their list of desires starts developing with even greater pace. Sometimes, when the parents aren't able to afford to gift them all those worldly pleasures but do the best by their part, kids' hearts don't suffice. They want the same stuff, their rich pals use.

Sometimes, this creates a feeling of jealousy, bitterness and embarrassment among youngsters. They feel shy in using their old things if their counterparts have bought new, expensive stuff. It's a total drain to one's pocket. Again, it divides the children into two sections- haves and have nots and this segregation due to materialistic stuff hurts the emotional sentiments of many.

The need of the hour is that the children be educated to think about the mutual welfare of the economy rather than focussing on their selfish desires. They'll learn to save up and will become more emotionally stable. Hence, their moral should be 'Simple Living, High Thinking.
