Last Sunday, I went to a temple with my friends. The temple I visited is a rock-built temple. It is a master piece of fine art. The building is very spacious and impressive. It is built on a raised platform. It is situated on the outskirts of the town. There are many beautiful idols of gods and goddesses. Priests were sitting in front of the idols. They were clad in saffron clothes with sandal marks on their foreheads. Incense was burning and it was giving out sweet smell. The idols were decorated with ornaments and fresh flowers. Devotees were singing ‘bhajans’ and were giving their offerings to the priests. The priests were chanting mantras and giving blessings to the devotees. The atmosphere was very calm and peaceful. I offered some flowers and fruits to the idols of Rama and Sita. The Priest blessed me and gave me ‘Charnamrit’ and ‘Prasad’. I said my prayers in front of the idol, meditated a little and returned home with a peace of mind
