Most of the people say that joining a coaching is must or some say don't join one as its not required at class 10thlevel.But i think its a personal choice and depends from person to person according to one's background and circumstances.As you had asked for advice, personally i believe that till class 10th is a basic education hence, coaching is not essential.Class 10th syllabus (CBSE) is not very difficult and contains basic concepts explained at higher stages, hence these concepts are easily cleared in school itself. So, if teachers in your school teach well, just be regular inclasses and clear your doubts in schoolitself.Self- study :This is very importantat any stage, no teacher can enter in your mind. Students think that attending classes in school andcoaching is enough, this is where they fail to score good marks as you will not understand anything until or unless you don't study yourself. Class 10th syllabus can be easily coveredthrough self- study. Till class 10th its veryimportant that you inculcate habit of self- study. Moreover,coaching takes away your precioua time that you can utilise in study.Balance between school, coaching, self-study :Most of students fail to maintain a balancebetween these three and end up getting bad grades. You cam easily score 10 CGPAif you attend classes in school regularly and daily revise the concepts.A good school with good teachers along with self- study is all you need in class 10th.Rat race of excellence:Don't join a coaching centre just because your friends had joined one. When i was in class 10th, all my friends had joinedone apart from me but still i scored 10 CGPA.Some people join coaching for IIT-JEE from class 10th itself,its your wish of you want to go for IIT, youcan join but joining in class 11th will also help, don't worry. You don't need to join coaching only for board in class 10th. You might end up screwing your board result in order to perform well for IIT incoaching.Atlast,Paying attention in School and class withself- study and self- effort can easily help you to score good in class 10thwithout coaching.But if,teachers in school don't teach well and your concepts are not clear, also you cant understand concepts by reading books and solving examples andeven after referring torefreshers, you can join coaching.But its all personal choice. Remember everybody has different situation and circumstances.
