Article on Black Americans and their fight against the discrimination

Answer:
Below I have tried to summarize some of the key events of American History and the status of black Americans and how they were uplifted.
Explanation:
Long ago in the the ancient and medieval periods, when people thought that there was just Asia, Europe and Africa, there existed another huge landmass in the west. The landmass which wasn't noticed by the world for thousands of years (except Vikings but they didn't shared the knowledge of the new land with the other world and hence they don't get the credit) was none another than today's Americas. Christopher Columbus, a Spanish navigator was the first to reach the land and spread the information about the land to the rest of the world. And now if you think that Columbus was a hero who did something so miraculous then my friend you are wrong because he was the first to start this discrimination. At that point of time, America was inhabited by a group of people with some sort of brownish skin tone. Columbus thought the people were Indians until it was found by Amerigo Vespucci that the land wasn't India. From the name of Amerigo, they named the land as America and started calling it's natives "American Indians". It is said that the American Indians were looted and discriminated brutally because of their color in their own homeland. Some experts also say that under Columbus, 99% of American Indians were killed or sold. Soon, the eye of other Powers also came on America and after many years of war, Spanish Rule was overthrown and England became the leading power in America. Europeans were started to get imported to America because the land was rich with resources.
English Rule also wasn't so good for non whites. Some of the Europeans who were imported by countries like Spain, England and France were now the inhabitants of America and they started to recognize themselves as Americans and not as Europeans. Eventually England also started treating the American Europeans as seperate people and started to charge high taxes from them. This led to the "American Revolution" and under the leadership of George Washington Americans won. One more rule on America was over and the American Europeans recognised them as a separate country which we now call "The United States of America" but this rule also wasn't so good for black people, actually it was even worse. The Americans started capturing people of negroid race and take them to their homeland and they were to do all their work for whole life and would get nothing. The children of black people were sold in the Auctions to the highest bidder and the parents could do nothing. The status of the American Indians was even more low now. Mark Twain also in his book "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" he showed us a friend of the protagonist Huck with the name Jimmy and how bad his life was. The most interesting thing was the government didn't cared until in 1847 a Republican Leader with the name Abraham Lincoln won the President's elections and he was highly concerned about the plight of blacks and browns. The USA was divided in two groups of states - "The states who wanted this system to continue were called Confederate States" and "The states who wanted reform were called Union States". The leader of the Unionists were President Lincoln himself and the leader of the Confederates was a man called Jefferson Davis. Soon this rivalry broke into the "American Civil War". In the civil war under Lincoln it was first when black soldiers were admitted in the army for the first time. After a long struggle the war was won by the Union but 130,000 blacks & whites died in the war. Jefferson Davis was charged of treason, was imprisoned for 2 years and had to lose his position. And it was looking like now finally the country is for all people but President Lincoln was assassinated on 15 April 1865 because still some people didn't liked his ideologies. The country was in deep shock. Experts say that Lincoln was the first who took such steps because in the future many other personalities like Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. took these ideas more steps forward.
After all this history USA is now a Democratic country in true sense. Non white people have gone to so much high ranks which even couldn't be imagined in previous rules. Barack Obama being a non white will always be considered as one of the greatest Presidents of USA. Now every kind of citizen can do whatever they want and no one has the power to discriminate them. And this is not just for USA but for the whole world also to acknowledge all it's people as everyone is great in his/her own sense.
