Old people are the backbone of a family. They are well experienced with the hardships of life. It is said that life teaches us lessons. Old people teach us how to grow, how to survive in this world and how to shape our carrier as well. They establish us in this world with their immense effort. It is our responsibility to pay them back during their old age.
Unfortunately, in today’s world, the youths are seen forgetting their moral duties towards elders. They aren’t ready to understand the importance of elderly care and instead of caring for their parents during their old age, they prefer to send them to old age homes. They prefer to live an independent life rather than living with their parents. This is not a good sign for our society. Being a social animal we need to know how to take care of old people.

Its the responsibility of the middle-aged and the youth to take care and look after elderly people around us.All elderly people are referred to the people who are more than 60 years or more old .
Our elders have spent most of their time looking after their family or working hard to meet their needs. When they become old their potential energy decreases and physical strength also is low because of their health in old age . All elders are always looking forward to make our lives better. We should see to it that they spend their lod age with their family or their near and dear ones happily. There are many health problems they will face in their old age . We cannot avoid the problems that they face but we can try to reduce its mental (emotional)effect on them. We should always make them feel positive . Finding happiness in life by making others happy is the best happiness one can get or feel. After all our elders are the ones who have been with us our entire life by supporting or making us realize our mistakes . They may have scolded or punished us , but they did it only for our good .
But now we can see that most of the elders are sent to old age home or much worse , they are abandoned by their own families just because they don't have time or money to take care of them . It is indeed a very shameful act but yet a horrifying truth . We should always make sure that our elders don't suffer . They have lived their whole life working hard day and night believing that their family would take care of them. And hence it is our responsibility to take care of our elders without thinking twice . We should always be grateful to them as they have devoted their life for ours.
