Celebration of Diwali was completed, but after that the problems of environment have increased. Like every time, this year too there was a fireworks on Diwali, which has caused the common people to suffer. The crackers were released all over the country in the night of Deepawali, after which air and noise pollution increased manifold. The air has become more poisonous especially in metros like Delhi-Mumbai. The noise of crackers and poisonous smoke is more dangerous for respiratory patients, because on the day of Diwali the amount of harmful carbon increases in the air. According to an estimate, more than five times the number of pollution increases on Diwali than normal days. The pollution graph of Diwali night reaches 1200 to 1500 microgramme cube. On the next day of Diwali, about 11 hundred, the next day 8 hundred and then after 4-5 days pollution reaches back from 284 to 425 micro village meter cube.
It is a special thing that despite the claim that Prime Minister Modi's ambitious plan to implement Swachh Bharat Abhiyan with loud noise, the people left the fireworks on Diwali, the effect of which is now coming out.
The Delhi Pollution Control Committee, a government body measuring the level of pollution in Delhi, has said in a report that the pollution from the firecrackers on Diwali was also at the alarming level this year.
