Answer:Law and order is important for a society for it serves a norm of conduct for citizens. It also

provides guidelines and sustains equity among citizens. This keeps the society running efficiently.

Without law there would be complete chaos and anarchy. The law is important because it acts

as a guideline to what is accepted in the society.

But the increasing tendency to use violence at the slightest provocation and thus to solve

personal and general problems is growing among people in our society. This is not the civilized

way of dealing with problems. Violence solves no problems; it must be shunned. People must

develop the virtue of patience. It is rightly said that an eye for an eye would make the whole

world blind. We live in a civilised society which should be free from violence and ruthlessness.

We must learn to avoid violent situations. One should settle argument with words not by fists. It

is better to move away from toxic people rather than standing there and becoming the same.

We need stricter laws to deal with incidents of violence. Children must be taught the values

of peace and tolerance early in their life. Some regulation should be brought to media so that

children and youth are not exposed to daily dose of violence in media. We, as a society, need to

accept our responsibility in keeping the society peaceful and violence free.
