The phrase, ''Each One, Teach One'', originated in the United States during slavery when Africans were denied education and the ability to read. When an enslaved person learned to read, it became their job to teach someone else, thus making the phrase "Each one teach one".

Hope it helps!

Each one teach one is a famous historical proverb that originated in America before the Proclamation 95 . When the black people did not have privilege to education, this campaign was launched to educate the colored people. The few educated black people taught as many uneducated people as possible. This phrase was used in many countries to sensitize people to spread literacy and education.

This campaign is launched also in India to achieve goals of 100% literacy.
