Earning respect is any day more important than earning money in one’s life. While it is always easy to once again earn the money that one has lost, it is a herculean task to win the respect that one has for oneself if he/she loses it by doing wrong acts.

How much people respect you plays a great role in determining your true happiness. You will find that you are actually happy when people admire and respect you for the person you are. This is much more than the happiness you feel when you have a fat bank balance. You may be surprised that earning people’s respect may help you earn money, but, with money, the respect you earn will often be only for the money and not true respect. In other words, money cannot help you buy respect.

To earn respect, you must develop some basic traits that make others admire you for who you are. These traits include being yourself, thirst for knowledge, humility, selflessness, honesty, compassion and integrity. Sadly, while not always true, you tend to forget to try and develop these traits. In such cases, you also miss out on dignity and self-respect that are among the first steps towards earning respect from others.

The respect you earn through the above traits have much more value that you earn with money and power. In the first case, people will respect you even when you have no money. But, in the latter case, no one will care even a little bit if they know that you are not monetarily well off. Although it may be a bit delayed, true success comes to those who earn respect through the traits mentioned than with money.

All the above mentioned points indicate why earning respect plays a far more important role in one’s life than earning money.

Looking for respect for yourself resembles looking for endorsement or acknowledgment, which as indicated by me takes you nowhere. Cash rather gets you the three essential necessities of socialization and living; roti kapda makaan ( food, apparel, and shelter).

Respect could involve concern when you have enough cash, however that too is subjective.

Neither cash or respect is vital. Cash is just a facilitator, a man can't eat cash and survive. Cash was imagined late ever, just to encourage trade. Respect is just a mental revelation, and nothing truly in it. A man can make due with or without respect. All respect holders are not overhauled, disapproved of people. Respect comes through, such a large number of positive and negative ways. In any case, give respect and cash their due spots.

That is up to every person to choose. There are some who value regardless of anything else and other people who might not trade off their confidence for any measure of cash. It is an individual decision and it is possible that one could be the correct one for a given individual.
