Terrorism is just like cancer to peace and development because terrorism like cancer grows and infect healthy cells if left unchecked. Similarly terrorism attacks educated, learned and innocent youths to fight for their cause. In recent times joining of many educated youths from western countries as well as from African and Asian countries to terrorist organization like ISIS has busted the myth that only poor illiterate people are gullible to extreme ideas. Even in India, many educated youths found to be very passionate about radical fundamentalist ideologies.
This really is a matter of great concern for civic society because our youths are our future. The immediate future of the country is misled and trapped by some unscrupulous organization rampantly. I think our education system is responsible for this situation. Education has been wrongly interpreted as study of science, arts, literature and other allied branches. But it is more than that. It also includes moral values, rational thinking, objective analysis, compassion etc. Lacking of such basic constituents , our education system has transformed our youths into half educated.Our society need to understand and respect the inclusiveness, pluralism and diversity, otherwise our country will have to pay heavy price for that.
