According to research done by the World Health Organization,15% of the worlds population area differently abled in one way or the other.

This gives us an interesting number of the people who need to be treated with empathy rather than sympathy, for them to be at productive beings like the other.Another fact is that women have higher numbers of disabled persons than men in the developing countries and poor people tend to suffer from disability than the economically stable people.

Empathy refers to the ability to understand and share the feelings of the other,or rather trying to fit in ones shoe, whereas sympathy means having feelings of pity or feeling sorry for ones state of misfortune.

Empathy entails much than sympathy since its through empathy that one can get to help another. For instance, disability among the poor can be dealt with empathy by introducing a tax free law in different states amongst the people with disability, this will help them in improving their lifestyles.

Removing any tax on the machines used by the disabled is also an empathic way of dealing with the disabled. This will help a big number to acquire the wheel chairs or the walking machines at a cheaper price compared to when they are taxed.

Empathy will make one not to feel sorry about his or her own situation and try to thrive like other people. This can also be shown by giving them more time in the social forums to express themselves .especially for the case of the deaf who will have to use sign language.

Introduction sign language classes in the lower classes of learning will also be a great way of showing empathy to the abled differently people ,as this will make them feel that other people can actually identify with their situation and enter in their world.

Building of different lanes of walking in public offices and utilities that can favor for the people on wheel chair can also go a long way of expressing empathy for the differently abled. In conclusion,it is the duty of the entire humanity to identify their problems at the same time appreciating their abilities and help them for their general development.

Answer:

                          Empathy for Differently Abled

As per World Health Organization’s report, around 15% of the global population include people who are differently abled in some way or the other. Another fact pointed out by the research is that high numbers of women are disabled rather than men in the developing nations. Also, that poor people tend to suffer from disability than the economically stable ones. These people are to be treated with empathy and not sympathy so that they too feel and become like productive beings.

Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of the others whereas sympathy is more inclined towards feeling pity or sorry for one’s condition. Empathy is the way through which you can help others.

For example, introducing a tax free law in different states will help poor disabled people to improve their way of living. Another way of empathetically dealing with the disabled is removing any kind of tax on the machines or devices used by them. This will help them to get wheel chairs or walking machines at a cheaper price.

Empathy is about motivating people to thrive like others. Giving the disabled an opportunity to express themselves in social forums is a way of motivating them to thrive like others. Introducing sign language classes among the disabled belonging to the lower classes is a great way of showing empathy. This will make them feel that they are important and people are interested about their situation and their world.

Having different lanes of walking in the public offices and places can be a great deal of help for people who use a wheel chair. This again is another way of expressing empathy for the differently abled people. It is the responsibility of every person to treat the disabled equally and appreciate their abilities in order to contribute to their general development.
