Plastic Free Campuses, a project of Plastic Pollution Coalition (PPC), wants to help your school measurably reduce plastic waste and pollution. PPC is a global alliance working to eliminate plastic pollution and its toxic impacts on people and the environment.
Any school that is implementing a plastic reduction initiative can sign up as a member of the Plastic Free Campus initiative. PPC will provide qualified campuses with seed funding, outreach materials, and a list of recommended vendors for healthier alternatives to disposable plastic products. Student groups will educate their peers on the threats of disposable plastics, and how to eliminate use of plastic bottles, straws, utensils, and polystyrene food packaging.
