It is said "Eat Breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Prince and Dinner like a Pauper." This saying has a lot of insights and indirectly identifies the importance of breakfast being the most important meal of your day and having breakfast is a very healthy habit.

When you eat your dinner at night, you then go to sleep, so that your body gets adequate rest. When you wake up early in the morning, you are actually hungry, because you have not eaten anything throughout the night. So, when you wake up, you will naturally need energy to last the entire day.

When you have a heavy breakfast, you will get the energy needed to last the day. A heavy and healthy breakfast will give your brain the oxygen needed to be alert and active. Remember, your brain requires the maximum quantity of oxygen for proper functioning. So, when you are hungry, especially in the morning, your brain is craving for oxygen, and keeps telling your body that you need food. In such a situation, if you are sitting in the class, imagine what will happen to you. You will feel sleepy, and you will not be able to concentrate on what is being taught in the class.

If you believe that by having a heavy breakfast, you will feel sleepy, you are completely wrong. If you have had a sound sleep and wake up early in the morning, then you will feel hungry and a heavy breakfast will keep you energetic throughout the day.

It will give you energy to do a variety of activities during the day. A slightly less heavy lunch will give you energy to last till dinner time and a very light dinner and going to sleep early will give you enough energy to last the night, and help you wake up early.

Lastly, remember, “early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.” This was said by Benjamin Franklin, one of the founding fathers of United States of America.

Remember these two sayings, and you will understand the importance of eating a very healthy and heavy breakfast so that you have the energy to last the entire day
