There is a famous proverb which says that health is wealth. Health is indeed our biggest wealth in life. It brings the ability to enjoy life and be a productive asset to our family, friends and the society. Health brings happiness and contentment to our life. If we are not healthy then we will not be able to enjoy the materialistic wealth which we have gathered by working hard.

Health is the most important and long lasting wealth. But unfortunately, most of us in a race to earn materialistic wealth and ignore taking care of our health and living a healthy lifestyle.

Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being. For a healthy life a person needs to have a balanced diet and exercise regularly. One must also take enough sleep and have good hygiene habits.

There are lots of things in life which money cannot be purchased, such as happiness, joy, peace of mind, smiles and laughter. Money doesn’t have any value unless it is really enjoyed. Only good health gives a person the capability to enjoy the things of life. A healthy mind resides inside a healthy body. A good physical health also means a healthy mental well-being. The happiest people in the world are the ones who have good physical and mental health.

Answer:While I talked about life optimization in this blog, there is something I miss: physical health. I usually just talked about learning, thinking, time management, and things like that. All those things are important of course, but still we do all of them through our physical body. To think and to learn we use our brain, to do works we use our hands, and so on.

So health is certainly an important part of life optimization. If there is something wrong with our health, all other activities will be disturbed and there is no way we can optimize our life. On the other hand, by maintaining our health not only we can prevent something wrong from happening in our body, we can also increase our energy level. Increased energy level means that we will have more energy to do all our activities which will in turn increase our productivity.

For those reasons, I’ve decided to put a new category in this blog: health. Hopefully we can learn together how to live a healthy life.
