Animal killing, moving from sport to support
Gone are the days when hunting for sport was considered a royal pass time. With time man has realised that killing animals for pleasure is neither ethically nor environmentally right.
With greater awareness and understanding of the value of life it is now very clear that killing animals is ethically wrong. If man cannot breathe life into animals he has no right to take it away either.
Further, from the environmental perspective extremely clear laws have been laid down to protect animals and prohibit poaching. Hunting has led to the extinction of many species while many others are on the brink of disappearance. This ‘pleasurable’ activity of man has upset ecosystems and threatened the ecological balance worldwide.
Considering both the ethical and the environmental points of view it is evidently the time for humans to move from hunting animals for sport to actually supporting animals and safeguarding them.
