Answer:
Overindulgent parents spoil their children
Overindulgence is a bad habit. It leads to many unwanted consequences. It develops bad habits which lead to addiction to pleasures that affect our body, mind, and soul adversely. Parents who are overindulgent spoil their children.
Overindulgent parents let their do anything they want, including things that are not good for them. As a result they develop bad habits which later on they can’t get rid of. These bad habits spoil their life, their career, and everything.
For instance parents who out of their love for their children don’t teach them moderation in eating, drinking, TV watching, etc. fail to teach them a very important lesson of being disciplined in life. Children who overindulge themselves in eating, tend to become obese; they also are vulnerable to many diseases. Similarly, children who overindulge in TV watching not only waste their precious time, but also let their health deteriorate.
Parents should not be overindulgent. They should know the difference between good and bad for their children. They should pamper only as much as does not spoil their children. What good is pampering if it is going to be the cause of life-long pain for the children?
Parents should rear their children with wisdom and vision for their happy future. They must teach them self-restraint and abstinence from mere pleasures of the flesh.
