Explanation:

Humans traditionally used to be outdoors during the daytime and indoors and sleeping at night. A key concept is that our bodies naturally require sunlight during the day and darkness and sleep at night. Light exposure determines the circadian rhythm of the boy which is the body's internal clock. This circadian rhythm determines which hormones get released at what time and also has many other important functions for good health and fitness.

We need to get out of our modern lifestyles - staying indoors all day, then sitting in bright artificial lights with smartphones, TVs and screens at night. Such a lifestyle disrupts our natural circadian rhythm and leads to various hormone related issues and lifestyle diseases! This also leads us to become insulin resistant which is a major underlying cause of all lifestyle diseases including diabetes, cholesterol issues, blood pressure issues, even PCOD / PCOS and thyroid issues!

Even better is to do exercise or any physical activities in sunlight. This combination increases our body's temperature and has a strong impact in boosting our immunity! At Fitgalaxy we always recommend that people do their exercise outdoors in sunlight with natural ventilation and not in an AC gym with artificial lights.

At this time during the lockdown - you can make use of a garden, veranda or terrace in your house to exercise, keep windows open throughout the day so that direct sunlight can reach the body. All lighting in the house should ideally be only through sunlight without use of artificial light!

Also, Vitamin D production does not happen with sunlight coming in through a glass - so keep the windows fully open or keep a mesh for protection against insects.

At night, ensure that you are minimising or eliminating screen time, smartphones and keep your lights only dim and yellow in colour. Dim and yellow lights are the least disruptive to our circadian rhythm while bright and white / intense lights stop the release of melatonin which makes us drowsy and gives us deep quality sleep. Thus after sunset when lights are required - only use dim and yellow lights. Also eat your dinner before 8/8:30 pm and sleep before 10 / 10:30 pm for 8-10 hours in complete darkness and wake up without an alarm.

Following these tips will ensure perfect circadian rhythm, natural vitamin D production, immunity through sunlight, exercise and sleep. Combine this with eating only natural food items which were available 150 years back - No processed or packaged food or hotel / restaurant / marriage food etc. Finally set your goals and take action towards your goals - be motivated and not stressed out.

These principles on nutrition, exercise, sleep, sunlight and motivation will ensure that you can stay fit and healthy naturally!

Answer:

People have started recognising the importance of eating healthy to stay hale and hearty. Experts too are of the view that regular consumption of a balanced diet comprising of all the essential vitamins, carbohydrates, fat and protein can benefit one’s health in the long term. Studies also recommend the consumption of a plant-based diet which consists of foods derived from plants such as vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes and fruits.

The FSSAI or Food Safety and Standards Authority of India also recently posted on Twitter about the need to have a plant-based diet.
