A corrupt is that who willing to act dishonestly in return of money etc.
Today in the Indian Democracy some of the leaders are corrupt and dishonest. Nowadays they are not like Lal Bahadur Shastri and also M. K. Gandhi. Now these leaders are different from 18th and also 19th century. Now the good days are for some of the leaders who are corrupt and also dishonest. They don't care for innocent and poor people too. But, they care rich and also tycoon people.

Firstly let us understand what is democracy

A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections.

In simple democracy people's government.

Democracy is better than other form of government because.

∆ It protects the interests of citizens.

∆ It promotes equality.

∆ It generally takes a stable decision.

Though India became a free nation on August 15, 1947, it declared itself a Sovereign, Democratic and Republic state with the adoption of the Constitution on January 26, 1950. The Constitution gave the citizens of India the power to choose their own government and paved the way for democracy.

India has a federal form of government, and hence each state also has its own government. The executive of each state is the Governor whose role is ceremonial. The real power resides with the Chief Minister  and the state council of ministers.
