Answer:

                             Earth Day

Earth Day is celebrated all across the world to promote awareness related to earth’s environment. People’s participation in preserving earth is a must. The goals of clean, green, and pure earth can’t be achieved without people’s participation. Hence, the Earth Day is quite significant.

The canker of industrialization has converted every town and city into hell. The sylvan beauty, which was so ubiquitous, has been replaced by factories and mills. The skyline that once was dominated by tall pines is an ugly sight of stacks spewing toxic fumes! The problems of Global warming, melting glaciers, decreasing forest covers, dwindling species of plants and animals, depleting ozone layer, etc. loom large on the future of mankind.

The clear rills and brooks that were picnic spots have been converted into drainage channels, carrying effluents to the river, which has become a bigger channel carrying the muck to the sea! The entire world is losing its beauty and purity. The mankind a silent witness to this ugly transformation is waiting for some angel to come down and do the cleaning, preserving, and pollution managing!

All people living in all countries on this beautiful planet must conserve each and everything belonging to natural earth. Trees, plants, animals, fishes, birds, mountains, rivers, lakes, seas, islands, etc. must be kept in their pristine states. People must come forward, the Governments will automatically do their bit to protect them.

Celebrating Earth Day brings people closer to earth. They are directly or indirectly initiated into the responsibility they have towards earth. We must observe Earth Day every day, not just on April 22 once a year.
