Fashion gives a mark of progress and the growth of a civilization. Fashion is very important in our everyday lives. Everyone wants to present himself in the most appropriate dress for him. Clothes mark the status of a person. Fashion has spread in all the spheres of our life. Our country is also affected by this phenomenon. The craze for fashion is widely seen among young people. Most of the young boys and girls spend must of their time in front of the mirrors. They want to attract every eye. They want to look mod and go crazy for new fashions, hair styles and clothes. Much of their time is spent in parlors rather then studying books. Thus, they spend a lot of money and time on fashion. With the passage of time, the fashions especially in clothes and jewellery change. The fashion trends keep on changing. The youths follow the latest fashion trend. The different fashion comes for the different weather like spring fashion, summer fashion, winter fashion etc. Runway fashion or fashion catwalk is also very popular. It describes a narrow platform that runs into an auditorium used by models to demonstrate clothing and accessories during a fashion show to show the latest trend. Not only the fashion dresses but also the matching fashion accessories like fashion handbags, fashion shoes, fashion apparel, fashion jewellery, fashion jeans, fashion sunglasses are gaining strength. The people especially the youths want to cover full fashion. They want to become fashion star. They want to be fashionable. They love to follow and imitate the fashion of the famous fashion designers and fashion stylists as they want to follow today’s fashion. Movies, Cable T.V., Advertisements greatly influence fashion. Fashion is fashion but we must wear the clothes that suit our personality. Fashion is needed to enrich our life not to create wrong impressions. Fashion designing is also a lucrative profession today. Trend of western clothing and culture is also popular. Following and doing fashion is not at all bad but fashion must never be made an obsession. We must never neglect our duties and responsibilities towards other things like studies or family etc. So, follow fashion but never be obsessed about it and be an example of a responsible fashion icon.
