Need of Value-based politics in India
India is the ‘largest democracy’ in the world with the largest written constitution. India also boasts of having borne the greatest number of saints and sages but ironically India also bears the most corrupt politicians. Immorality is the haemoglobin of contemporary Indian politics. Not a single party can claim to be corruption free.
Thus the urgent need of the hour is ‘Value-based politics’. All politicians must pledge to indulge in activities that will be beneficial for the people. Strict penalty must be imposed on offenders.
