Find the cost price of the article:

dozen = 12

12  articles = Rs 45

1 article = 45 ÷ 12 = Rs 3.75

Find the selling price of 1 article:

Score = 20

20 articles = Rs 85

1 article = 85 ÷ 20 = Rs 4.25

Find the gain/loss:

Rs 4.25 >  Rs 3.75 => it is a gain

Gain = 4.25 - 3.75 = Rs 0.50

Find the gain percentage:

Gain percentage = gain/cost price x 100

Gain percentage = 0.50/3.75 x 100 = 13.3%

Answer: There is a gain of 13.3%

cp of  12 articles=45 rs

cp of 1 article=45/12

                      =3.75 rs

sp of 20 articles=85 rs

sp of 1 article= 85/20

                       =4.25

as 4.25>3.75

there is a gain.

gain=sp-cp

          =  0.5

g%=( g/cp)100

  =13.3
