Step-by-step explanation:

To find out which bookshelf is more full we have to convert the given fractions to like fractions. Like fractions have the same denominator. So,

  1. First we find the LCM of the denominators, i.e., the LCM of 6&5. The answer is 30.
  2. Next we use the LCM to convert 3/6 & 4/5 into like fractions. Then,

3/6 = 3*5/6*5 = 15/30 and

4/5 = 4*6/5*6 = 24/30.

3. Now we compare the like fractions. The greatest among the two fractions is 24/30 i.e., 4/5.

Therefore, Vijay's shelf is more full.

Now, to find by what fraction vijay's shelf is more full.... we subtract the two like fractions we obtained i.e., 15/30 & 24/30.

  1. (24/30) - (15/30)

=> (24-15/30)

=> 9/30 which when reduced to lowest term is 3/10.

Hence, Vijay's shelf is more full by 3/10.
