1600×20/100=320
so,1600+320=1920
therefore marked price is 1920

Answer :

The market price is Rs 2000.

Step-by-step explanation :

Let the market price be x.

Discount % = Discount / MP * 100

⇒ 20 = Discount / x * 100

⇒ Discount = 20 / 100 x

⇒ Discount = 1 / 5 x

Also,

Discount = MP - SP

 \sf \frac{1}{5} x = x - 1600 \\ \\ \sf x - \frac{1}{5} x = 1600 \\ \\ \sf \frac{5x - x}{5} = 1600 \\ \\ \sf \frac{4}{5} x = 1600 \\ \\ \sf x = \frac{1600 \times 5}{4} \\ \\ \sf = 2000
Hence, market price = Rs 2000.
