Let Arun be 3x and Anu be 2x

Now Arun is 5 years elder than Anu five years ago, so

Arun's age 5 yrs ago = 3x-5

Anu's age 5 yrs ago = 2x-5

(3x-5) = (2x-5)+5

3x-5 = 2x (Since -5 and +5 got canceled)

3x-2x-5 = 0

x-5 = 0

x = 5

So Arun = 3x = 3×5 = 15

Anu = 2×5 = 10

age of Arun=x+5yrs,

x/x-5=3/2
=>2(x)=3(x-5)
=>2x=3x-15
=>15=3x-2x
.°.x=15
hence, present age of Anu is 15 yrs
present age of Arun will be (15+5)yrs
=20yrs
