Selling price of Washing Machine= 13500
loss%= 20%
We know that
Loss%= Loss*100/Cost Price
20=Loss*100/ C.P.
loss/C.P.=1/5
If loss=x then CP=5x
Hence SP=CP-Loss , 5x-x=4x
according to question 4x=13500
∴ x= 3375
Hence Cost price= 5x= 5*3375= 16875

Given:purchase(MRP)=13500
bargain(discount)=20%
To find:price in which he purchase.
solution:discount=MRP×discount rate
=13500×20/100
=135×20--------two zero cut
=2700
total price=MRP-discount
=13500-2700
=$10800
bargain(discount)=20%
To find:price in which he purchase.
solution:discount=MRP×discount rate
=13500×20/100
=135×20--------two zero cut
=2700
total price=MRP-discount
=13500-2700
=$10800
