As people get some benefits of democracy, they ask for more and want to make democracy even better. People The most prominent feature about democracy is that its examination never gets over. As democracy passes one test, it produces another test get aware of their rights and demand from the form of democracy in their country to get even better.
2. People would expect greater participation in the political process by virtue of power sharing.
3. They would expect greater transparency in the functioning of the system.
4. Marginalised groups may demand more rights, policies and recognition of their distinct identity. For example demand for reservation.
5. Better economic policies, target oriented programmes.
6. States would expect more autonomy, demand separate status , statehood from the Centre.
7. Democracy is all about resolving conflicting interests in which government may not be able top appease all the social groups while may pacify some. We may give the example of the governments' decision to create Telengana.
