As a good citizen how do you advise the people living in your area to wise use of plastic

I would just tell them the disadvantages of plastics, like how does it affect the environment after we through them.
I would tell them some of the incidents that happened due to over use of plastics and I would restrict everyone from using plastics and tell alternatives instead of plastic.
