As a part of DFC project, the students of STD VIII of St. Kabir School launched an awareness campaign Respect for food. As an initiative activity, students bought cookies, chocolates, nuts etc. from their pocket money and packed it in 150 small boxes. Each section decided to pack 50 boxes. Section A selected cubic boxes, Section B selected cuboidal boxes whereas Section C packed the goodies in cylindrical boxes. The height of the boxes is 10cm. The boxes are gift wrapped and distributed among the underprivileged children and in the orphanages. The students also raised a fund for the welfare of these children. Going door to door and spreading awareness, the students collected Rs.10,000. From the collection they bought a sports kit and a computer for orphanage. Rest of the amount was deposited in the bank and the yearly interest was to be utilized for their upliftment. The students made a table keeping the track of the amount of money they collected during the month. volume of cylinder= π x r x r x h= 22/7 x 7x7x10= 1540cm cube
volume of cubical box =3a= 3x10=100cm cube
volume of cuboidal box= l×r×h=12×9×10=1080 cm cube
