Given : 1 2/3 cup of milk and 5/9 cup of sugar.

To Find :  How much more milk than sugar is required for the recipe

Solution:

Milk required = 1 2/3  cup

= (1 * 3 + 2)/3

= 5/3  cups

Sugar required = 5/9  cups

more milk than sugar is required  = 5/3  - 5/9

= 15/9  - 5/9

= 10/9

= 1 1/9

10/9 or  1 1/9  cup more milk than sugar is required .
