August 22nd, Anusree Pally:

A yoga-camp were held at Belgharia on August 22. The session was held in Jagrata Sangha club ground. People from different religion, cast as well different zones of town took part in the camp. The inaugural speech was given by the Mayor who highlighted the importance of Yoga and physical exercises in daily life.

A group of Young pupils who were yoga students performed several standing and sitting asanas as an example for all. One could understand by watching their performance that they have been practising yoga from several years.

A well known yoga teacher Sri Sudipto Prasad showed us some easy and beginner asanas which we did for about 200 minutes. This was a beautifully organised season. There were volunteers all around us to help, in case we had trouble performing or understanding asanas. All the people participated eagerly.

Even the Mayor took active participation in yoga camp. Next, we were given lectures about history of yoga, it's origin & how it helped the common people by Sri Sudipto Prasad himself. Yoga day was celebrated with great passion.
