Ionic Compound

These are compound which are bonded together because of opposite charges which attracted both elements and creates bond. One is metal (cation) and the other is non-metal (anion). One element losses electron and the other element gain electron.

Covalent compound

These are compound which are bonded together because of the sharing of electrons happens between two elements. The bond still created due to changes in element charges.

- Covalent compound do not conduct electricity whereas ionic compound conduct electricity when in a solution.

- Any kind of sharing represent the sharing of electron in the covalent compound.

- Normally males are attracted with female just like the how the two elements in the ionic compound attracted each other.
