Being a teacher, I can easily relate to how school community has a deep rooted link with that of curriculum.
It is important to understand that a school community comprises of all of those stakeholders which are linked to the school in one way or another. This includes the teachers, the students, administration, parents of the students, etc. All of these are indeed affected by the curriculum because of the fact that the course outline/syllabus is something which is a part of school teaching.
Teachers are supposed to teach the information which is in line with the course outline. We are allowed to give examples but never to stray away from the given curriculum. This helps to narrow down what needs to be taught to the students. This helps to make sure the students understand the basics and then get to an advanced level of learning.
Because the teachers teach the course, they must know it and understand it, so they are affected by this course.
Secondly, students are the ones who are responsible for learning about this course, so indeed they too are directly affected by it.
