Today would have been just another day, had the young British girl, Natalia not brought her group along on our tour. I had the regular tour planned around the monuments of the city. Though I visit the same buildings almost everyday, I do not get bored of looking at them. There is something amazing in them, waiting to be appreciated. Unfortunately, very few of the tourists feel the same way as I do. Natalia's gang happened to be an enthusiastic bunch of tourists. It was a pleasure to show them around my city. There were some others too, mainly Indians, or should I say, disinterested Indians. They did not care one bit about the sanctity of the Kali temple, and kept complaining loudly, about the humid weather. The foreigners talked too, but asked me questions about the architecture of the temple and the rituals. When we were at the Rock Garden, I could sense the excitement in the British block. My countrymen were too busy littering the place, to take note of the uniqueness of the place. I wish I could change the attitude of the people in our country, and make them a little more sensitive towards our own nation. May be if more tourists like Natalia come by, our folks would learn something from them!
