He would fill his little stomach and then go into his cage. -This is the answer.

About conjunctions and their usage:

  • Conjunctions are linking words. That is they are words that help to join  two clauses/ phrases/ words.
  • Some of the conjunctions are: because, even though, so that, so-that, yet, but, still, etc.,
  • Here we have a simple sentence which has to be changed into a sentence using 'and'. Thus we are going to convert it into a compound sentence.
  • Compound sentences are those which have atleast two independent clauses in their sentences.
  • So when we use 'and', we have to tell it in the order of the happening -first: filling his stomach and second: going to his cage.
  • The first half of the sentence must be -'He would fill his little stomach'  (an independent clause)
  • Then comes the conjunction  'and' followed by another independent clause :'and then go into his cage'.
  • Therefore the answer is: He would fill his little stomach and then go into his cage.
