As Hema was suffering from high fever her mother took her to a doctor. The doctor placed her fingers on the inner side of Hema wrist and looked at her own watch for a minute or so she put the stethoscope on the left side of Hema chest. She also suggested that the blood and urine tests be done. What do you think the doctor was trying to check and why had she suggested blood and urine tests

Explanation:

The doctor must've advised her to drink more fluids( that's what the doctor advised me to do when I had dengue :)).Fluids expel out the virus in the form of excretion. The patient must be admitted and the amount of urine excreted should be measured every day when in admission. Fluids also increase the platelet count. The body feels weak and tired, and has a high temperature when it has contracted dengue( Although the high temperature isn't necessary, by experience).Regular blood tests must be taken to monitor the platelet count .

Dengue is spread by vectors such as mosquitoes. So, the preventive measures include using mosquito repellents, mosquito nets, sprays, etc.
