As i have studied that displacement is the shortest path covered by an object!!and distance is the total path covered by and object
So i have a doubt
That
If we take this diagram as to tell that what is the distance here and what is the displacement!!than what is your opinion
Is the displacement same as the distance???
So will the displacement be equal to the distance is distance is 100 km

As per this diagram, the displacement and distance is same.... The path from A to reach B.. Because there is no other path to reach from A to B.. See diagram there is shortest and total distance path are same.. So whatever u said as per this diagram is correct...
Hope it will help u.. :))

No friend in this case too the distance is not equal to displacement .
as you say the distance suppose is 100km as you haven't given other dimensions of roads lengths the displacement can not be found now.
But yes clearly again the distance is not equal to displacement in this case too.
here the distance is the road travelled and the displacement will be the shortest straight line joining the points a and b i.e. passing through the society.
