 Dear diary,  

My poor girl, Kezia woke up screaming from her nightmare, I immediately woke up and  went to see what had happened. She was scared. Scared of me more than what had  frightened. All of a sudden I found myself picking her up and taking her into my arms,  I missed holding her so much. Shes grown so much yet she’s so small and tender. I've  been so harsh to my sweet little girl, I shouldn’t have beaten her so much the other day,  she was innocently making me a birthday gift after all. I need to be there for my girl,  she needs a loving and caring father. She was so comfortable in my arms,  feeling  my heartbeat. She is my heartbeat. I just never showed it, and she just never knew.
