as per your opinion ,what was a better way of writing- manuscripts and inscriptions? give reasons for your opinion

Manuscripts were usually written on palm leaf, or on the specially prepared bark of a tree known as the birch, which grows in the Himalayas, while inscriptions were engraved either on a stone surface or on bricks or metals.

My opinion is Manuscripts. Because inscription are written on pillars, any old books, etc. where as manuscripts we can write,type,etc.this is my opinion.
I HOPE MY ANSWER WILL BE CORRECT.
