as RBCs lack mitochondria bcoz they contain hemoglobin to carry oxygen but aerobic respiration is performed in mitochondria ?and we also say that each cell carries out all the vital activities of an organism ,then how RBC can perform respiration?
plz give an authentic answer

RBCs do not have mitochondria because they are involved in carrying oxygen due to absence of mitochondria these cells get more empty space for to attached with oxygen.

how they get energy?

they produce ATPs through the process of glycolysis. which takes place in the hemoglobin containing cytoplasm.
