As shown in the diagram, a bracket is mounted to a rigid structure using four bolts that are arranged in a square with center to center distance of 22mm. A load whose x,y,z components as shown in the diagram is applied. Take mass “m” as 180kg.
● Find out the tensile and shear loads acting on the bolts
● Size the bolts such that the bolts are reusable (pretension at 75% of proof load). Use Metric 8.8 grade bolts for this purpose. Use metric standard charts published online for and mention your source. A factor of safety of 2 should be there in both tension and shear. Assume the same size bolts are used.
● Support your solutions with relevant free body diagrams.
