Formula of deviation suffered by light ray is given by

  • δ = 180 - 2i

where, i denotes angle of incidence

Deviation at point A :

  • δ₁ = 180 - 2(45)
  • δ₁ = 90°

Deviation at point B :

  • δ₂ = 180 - 2(60)
  • δ₂ = 60°

Net deviation :

➙ δ = δ₁ + δ₂

➙ δ = 90° + 60°

δ = 150°
