Area of 4 quarter circle=area of 1 whole circle.

total area of square=16

area of 4 quarter circle=π(1)(1)=π

for the whole circle diameter is 2cm therefore radius will be 1cm.

Area of whole circle=π

therefore shaded region=16-2π sq.cm
