No sooner did he receive the news than he left in a taxi .

NOTE :

We are given a sentence such that "As soon " is to be converted to "no sooner than".

Whenever such transformation take place keep in mind :

After no sooner , the present tense should be used - receive .

After than , past tense should be used - left .

Meaning should never change.
