Today I learnt that Mr. Behrman died due to an acute attack of pneumonia. It puzzled us as to why he would go out in the rain during the middle of the night risking everything and eventually succumbing to his actions.
Later, I was waiting for the last leaf on the vine to fall but then it never did, I soon came to know that Mr.Behrman had painted the leaf over there and that the leaf on the vine had long since fallen off.
It was Mr.Behrman's master piece and this made me feel so bad since alI had done was sit and talk about the time that I would die and then this man who is just a friend, went and lost his life trying to save mine, and I found this very unacceptable, so I decided to not give up and then I managed to slowly make a recovery all thanks to an old man who would look over us, and tell us that he would one day paint a master piece and he delivered.

Dear Diary:
I am extremely sad today. Mr. Behrman is no more in this world. What a great soul he has been! He sacrificed his life to save Johnsy’s life. he was so hurt and angry when he heard Johnsy’s belief about the ivy leaves. But the great man understood Johnsy’s state of mind. In the cold of night when it was raining, he painted the leaf that literally saved Johnsy’s life. God bless his soul. May he rest in peace in God’s heaven.
