Let breadth be X cm

then length is 2X cm

Perimeter of Rectangle=2(l+b)

48=2(2X+X)

48÷2=3X

24=3X

24÷3=X

8cm=X

B=8cm

L=2×8=16cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter = 48 cm

Assumption: Let the breadth of the rectangle be x cm.

So, Length = 2x cm

Therefore,

Perimeter = 2 × (length + breadth)

=> 48 = 2(2x + x)

=> 48 = 2 × 3x

=> 48 = 6x

=> 48/6 = x

=> 8 = x

Length of the rectangle = 2x cm

= 2 × 8 cm

= 16 cm

Breadth of the rectangle = x cm

= 8 cm
