de broglie wavelength= h/mv

here h & mass m are constant, but velocity of electron changes in different shell(varies with n)

v=2.188*10^6*Z/n where n is principal quantum no. & Z is atomic no., for same atom velocity of electron is inversely proportional to principal quantum no.,

hence velocity will decrease with increase in n

now de broglie wavelength is inversely proportional to velocity, hence decrease in velocity will increase the de broglie wavelength.
