Subject- Letter concerning the issue of safety of the city animals.
Dear Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authority towards the issue of safety of the city animals. The stray animals keep loitering around and it is because of this reason that many of the accidents take place. The stray animals create a fuss around the roads and create a nuisance. This causes very inconvenience to the residents. They need to be kept under special supervision and I hope that through your newspaper my suggestion would be considered and looked upon at the earliest.
Thanking you in anticipation.
Yours truly

Subject: Making Cities Safe for Animals
Sir:
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I want to express my deep anguish over the flagrant cruelty against animals in cities. All types of animals living in cities are not safe at all. The condition animals is very deplorable. Every other day we can see the mangled bodies of dogs, cats, buffalos, mules, etc. on the roads.
The other day I was reading an article on internet. I came to know that cruelty against animals is illegal in our country! According to the Constitution of India: “It is the fundamental duty of every citizen of India to have compassion for all living creatures. Article 51A (g).” There is another law that says, “To kill or maim any animal, including stray animals, is a punishable offence. IPC Sections 428 and 429.”
Through the columns of your reputed daily, I appeal to the people, the Animal Welfare Societies, and the concerned Ministry and government authorities to work concertedly to look into the plight of animals and work for their safety in the cities. After all they are our fellow partners in existence. It is our responsibility to look after them. I hope you will help me in sensitizing the people as well as the concerned authorities.
Thanking you,
Yours truly,
The Narrator
